Leeds Alternative Travel is a non-profit organisation and depends on volunteer support for its Volunteer Car Scheme.
We offer bespoke training to meet our clients needs and are looking to recruit volunteer car drivers, passenger assistants and minibus drivers.
VACANCIES
Passenger Assistants.
Varied hours
We urgently require several Passenger Assistants to support our Minibuses and Volunteer Car Scheme. No previous experience in necessary, though applicants should demonstrate and understanding of the needs of young people and vulnerable adults. Full Training given to the right candidates.
Minibus Drivers
Session drivers required for various hours (days, evenings & weekends), applicants must have previous experience in driving passenger vehicles and be eligible to drive category D1 vehicles. For Insurance purposes, applicants must be over 21 years of age with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
Volunteer Car Drivers/Owners
Required to support our Volunteer Car Scheme. Applicants must have their own car, full UK driving licence and be able to provide evidence of the vehicles roadworthiness. A reimbursement of expenses is paid at a rate of 40 pence per mile. If you have your own car and can spare at least one hour per week - why not apply and give something back to your community.
